Even W.Y.V.E.R.N.'s scientists have a sense of humor. Rubberneck is proof that engineering can be charming: a biomechanical giraffe ring with a long plated neck and an expression somewhere between curious and thoroughly unimpressed.

Size
What's my size?

Rings — Wrap a strip of paper around the base of your finger, mark where it overlaps, then measure that length in millimetres and compare it against a ring size chart. Any jeweller can also size you in a minute. If you fall between sizes, go up.

Bracelets — Measure around your wrist just below the wrist bone. S suits smaller wrists, M sits in between, and L suits larger ones. The sizes scale in thickness as well as length, so the piece stays in proportion.

Necklaces — 18in sits around the collarbone on most people. 16in sits higher on the neck; 20in and 22in sit lower on the chest.

Still unsure? Get in touch before ordering and we'll help you get it right — every piece is made by hand, so most sizes are possible.

The full story

Product Details

The neck is built from articulated plates that step up off the band, the head tilts out over the finger, and the whole animal is sculpted in the round. A genuine animal ring for people who find most animal jewelry too cute by half. The detail here is fine; the attitude is not.

Materials and Finish

Every Monkey Wrench ring is cast in solid sterling silver, not plated and not filled, then finished by hand with a patina that sinks into the undercuts and throws the detail into relief. The high points stay bright, the recesses stay dark, and the sculpt reads clearly from across a room. Because that patina is worked by hand, no two rings come out identical.

Sizing and Fit

Offered in full and half sizes from 6.5 through 13.5, so it fits the finger you actually want it on rather than the one that happens to work. If you are between sizes or buying a gift, the What's my size? guide on this page walks through measuring at home with a strip of paper and a ruler.

Made to Order

Nothing here sits in a warehouse waiting for an order. Each piece is cast, finished and inspected after you buy it, which usually takes two to six weeks depending on the queue and how involved the piece is. That wait is the whole point: what arrives was made for you, in your size, by the same hands that sculpted the original.

What's in the box

Nothing here leaves the bench in a padded envelope.

Your piece arrives in a satin-lined keepsake box, sealed under a foil skull and wrench — and it doesn't arrive alone.

There's a collector card with the character's name, where it came from and the metal it's cut from.

There's Issue #1 of the comic these pieces climbed out of. The story is in the box with the story you're wearing.
