For the past 45 years, I have been a designer of fine jewelry. In my career, it has always been my hope that the jewelry I create helps to tell a story in a person's life — that what I create would become a small reminder or reflection of a chapter in their life's story. It has truly been my honor to be invited into many of those stories. I am humbled to play my part.

As I began to conceptualize Monkey Wrench, I knew it was time to write my own story, build my own world, create my own heroes (and villains), and build a line of sterling silver jewelry that tells the story of that world. A story where you will find unexpected heroes and heroines, mystery, adventure, and just maybe a surprise or two.

Forever a fan of fantasy, science fiction, steampunk, and the like, this is the world I have created in the Monkey Wrench comic book. The jewelry that accompanies the story is larger than life, full of surprises, and created to allow this story to be told every time you wear it. In Monkey Wrench jewelry, you will find hidden compartments and secret treasures in a bold, bio-mechanical, steampunk aesthetic. Each piece speaks to a character, event, or image in the Monkey Wrench world — while still leaving room to become a part of your own story.

I love the creative process. Building the world of Monkey Wrench, and telling the story with jewelry as well as the comic book, is a completely new concept. Every new idea is an adventure. So while I am proud of every single piece, it is the one that is always coming to life in my mind at present — the one on the verge of birth into the world of Monkey Wrench — that holds my heart. And I cannot wait for you to meet this next piece...
